If I'm being honest this is not actually intended as a blog, and I am definitely not a blogger. But we've just bought this big old house that needs everything doing to it and I'd like to document it in an orderly way. We've renovated one house already and it became a bit of a theme over the years that we would always forget to take a before photo when we did a job. This time I've taken an absolute shed load of before pictures, so the plan is to eventually match these up with an equal shed load of beautiful after pictures along with a record of our trials and tribulations along the way.
I doubt this will be a very inspiring journey. I've been following a whole load of very stylish Instagram folk for inspiration and it seems most of them have a) a flair for interiors b) apparently unlimited cash-flow or free-Farrow & Ball-for-life pass, c) lots of free stuff?! We have none of these things. They also only seem to post the good stuff. I am anticipating months or years of photos of piles of rubble, plasterless ceilings and the mickey mouse shower screen in our bathroom before we see any real progress. But you never know, we might surprise our selves.
